Guy Sebastian and Lee Kernaghan are headlining a free concert as part of three day North Sydney Leisure & Lifestyle Festival
Concert and fireworks show will cap-off three day festival of
sport, food and lifestyle displays.
Spartan and The Sebastian Foundation announced the grand finale concert of The North Sydney Leisure & Lifestyle Festival, (February 4 - 7 North Sydney Oval), which will now feature a entry via donation only.
Due to the overwhelmingly generous contributions by sponsors including Spartan, Bose, oOh! Media, Cactus Imaging, Canon, Rebel, Coates Hire, entry to the celebrity cricket match on February 5 and finale concert and fireworks on February 7 is now via donation, which will go directly to The Sebastian Foundation to help families across Australia and the world. Donations will be collected at the gates prior to the concert and the suggested donations are $5 for children, $20 for adults and $50 for families.
The three day festival will kick-off on Thursday 5th February at North Sydney Oval at 1pm with a 20/20 Cricket Pro-Am match featuring appearances from cricketing legends like Viv Richards, Brett Lee, Shane Lee, Michael Bevan, and will see celebrity players Guy Sebastian, Beau Ryan, Erin Molan and Shannon Noll take to the pitch.
On Friday 6th February the oval will transform into a food and lifestyle destination with 30 gourmet exhibitors showcasing the best food and wine Sydney has to offer for the ultimate Friday night dinner date. Entertainment will be provided by a range of local acts presented by Bose and Planet X Youth Centre.
The final day of the festival, Saturday 7th February, kicks off for the energetic at heart with a Rebel Fun Run at St. Leonards Park led by Joint Olympian and World Champion Jess Fox and a group fitness class by Bringing Sexy Back’s Cam Byrnes. Kids aged 3-14 years of all athletic abilities are also encouraged to connect with their inner warrior as they run, walk, crawl and climb their way through a fun-filled obstacle course presented by Spartan Race
Later in the day, kids entertainment takes centre stage with appearances by Spongebob Squarepants, and performances by the Bose Youth Rock Eisteddfod winner and Sam Moran. There’ll also be plenty of rides, jumping castles and fun activities for kids and food and wine stalls will open once again for alfresco dining.
The grand finale of the festival will be a massive two-hour concert kicking off at 5pm featuring amazing performances from Guy Sebastian, Lee Kernaghan, Shannon Noll, Tim Omaji a.k.a Timomatic and concludes with a spectacular fireworks show and lighting of the famous North Sydney Fig Tree presented by Canon. Access to the concert is strictly by note donation only - with all proceeds going to benefit The Sebastian Foundation - Guy and Jules Sebastian’s family charity.
Phil Harte, director of Spartan Sports said, “North Sydney has never seen anything like this before. This is the first festival of its kind to host a variety of activities and events all promoting fun and health, all while raising vital funds for an impressive charity like The Sebastian Foundation.”
Guy Sebastian, co-founder of The Sebastian Foundation, said, “I’m pumped that my friends and I can put on a great show for the families of Sydney to cap off an epic three days of sporting, leisure and lifestyle activities. We are extremely grateful for the support of all our sponsors and hope that as many of you come down with your donations and enjoy the events.”
